Chapter Nine

Man Down

Hours later Mercedes was getting off the plane in Oakland to go home. She flagged down the first taxi she saw and gave the Arabian driver directions to her house as she rested in the back seat. The thirty minutes it took for the driver to get home, Mercedes had freshened up her face to surprise Royale with her being back before he anticipated.

After paying the fare, she grabbed her bags and walked up the stairs to her apartment. When she got to the door and was letting the key into the door, she could hear music being blasted from her apartment. She let herself in and left her bags at the door as she walked toward the bedroom she shared with Royale. When she was almost there, she heard the sounds of a woman moaning from their bedroom. Her blood instantly began boiling at the thought of another bitch fucking her man in her bed. She went back to her bags, grabbed the .25 she had and barged into the bedroom.

Royale was behind the dark skin chick deep dicking her while she moaned into the pillow that was underneath her. His face was in shock as he got caught inside the next chick. He pulled himself out of her as he stuttered to find words to say.

The look of death was in Mercedes eyes as she seen with her own eyes the betrayal of the man she loved and trusted.

“Who is that bitch?” the girl asked, rolling her eyes at Mercedes.

BOOM! Wrong move on her part. Mercedes put a bullet in between her eyes before she knew what hit her.

“Ba…Ba…Ba Baby please calm down.” Royale said, trying to cover up his privates while slowly walking toward Mercedes.

“So this is the reason why you wanted to know when I was coming home so bad. So you could fuck around on me.” Mercedes yelled, pointing the gun in Royale’s face.

“I know you mad and shit but you better get that fucking gun out my face.” Royale spat, as his pleading mood instantly turned to anger.

“Fuck you bitch. You have no right making demands when I caught you in the bed with the next hoe. You aint shit but a punk ass bitc-” she was cut off as Royale punched her dead in the mouth. She went flying to the ground dropping the gun in the process. Both Royale and Mercedes scrambled for it. They grabbed it at the same time and were each fighting over the trigger while trying to point it at each other before the deafening shot rang out.

Mercedes was sprawled on the ground dead, taking one shot through the heart.
